Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what information Brushline LLC, an Oregon limited liability company ("Brushline," "we," or "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to https://brushline.io and the Brushline app.

The short version: we collect what we need to run Brushline for you. We don't sell your information. We don't let our AI provider train on your data. You can export or delete your data at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: your name, email address, password (stored securely, never in plain text), company name, country, and the people you invite.
  • Business information: things you enter to run your business in Brushline, such as workers and pay rates, overhead costs, prices, estimates, jobs, hours, and costs.
  • Your customers' information: names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of your customers that you enter so you can send them estimates.
  • Messages to us: feedback, questions to Ask Brushline, and emails.

Information from services you connect

  • QuickBooks Online (optional): if you connect it, we access customers, employees, vendors, expense and income reports, expenses, bills, time entries, invoices, and payments, and we create customers, projects, and estimates when you accept work. We only access what Brushline needs.
  • Payments: Paddle handles your payment details. We never see or store your full card number. Paddle tells us your subscription status and billing country.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as browser type, pages visited, buttons clicked, and error reports, used to keep Brushline working and to make it easier to use.
  • Cookies: we use necessary cookies to keep you logged in and secure, and analytics cookies to understand how Brushline is used. We don't use advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

  • To provide Brushline: run calculations, store your work, and send estimates.
  • To manage your account, trial, and subscription.
  • To send account emails (like trial reminders and receipts) and, with your consent where required, product news. You can unsubscribe from product news at any time.
  • To answer your questions through Ask Brushline.
  • To keep Brushline secure and prevent abuse.
  • To fix problems and make Brushline simpler and better.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We may create anonymous, combined statistics that cannot identify you, your company, or your customers, and use them to improve Brushline.

3. Ask Brushline (AI assistant)

When you use Ask Brushline, your question and the information needed to answer it (for example, the estimate on your screen) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate an answer. Our agreement with Anthropic does not allow your data to be used to train its AI models. We keep conversations so you can see them and so we can improve answers.

4. When we share information

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only:

  • with service providers that help us run Brushline (listed below), under contracts that protect your information;
  • with services you choose to connect, such as QuickBooks;
  • with your customers, when you send them an estimate;
  • if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of Brushline, our users, or others; and
  • if Brushline is sold or merged, in which case this policy will continue to protect your information.
